International Sandwich Shop of Macomb: Exceptional Subs and Sandwiches Await

Best sammiches in town. This is a Macomb must-try, on the same level as Larry A's. The sandwiches are unique in a way that you want a local sandwich shop to be, but without being wild or obnoxious. The ingrediants are all excellent and high quality, the same it's been for decades. Simply excellent. Regarding some reviewss here, Ray is a nice dude. He's straightforward in trying to get it right. He'll admit he's a little gruff when he's busy, but it's never personal and adds to the charm and personality of the place. I know country folk expect constant politeness, fake or real, but I enjoy Ray's real-ness. He just cares about the food.

I love it here and if you come often enough, he starts to remember your name and that makes so much more wholesome

I have wanted to try this place for a couple years and it didn't disappoint. The sandwiches were delicious. The warm cookies were freshly baked. The gentleman was so friendly. We will be back.

People have been telling me for years to stop by and get a sandwich. Had some time during the week when they're open and stopped in for lunch. Owner is very friendly and I can tell he's proud of the product he puts out. Soft fresh bread. All the vegetables were clearly freshly cut. The onions still had plenty of "bite". Love it! Said that I'd be back and just start at the top of the menu and work my way down. As far as others saying he's rude, I don't know? Seems like a man dedicated to his craft and puts out the best. I appreciate that and don't see enough of it.

It’s nice to support the locals owned places and this place provides a variety sandwiches with fresh baked white bread that is fluffy. I went for lunch and had a grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken was tasty and cooked just right. I would prefer a wheat bread next time, but not sure it’s offered. My experience was good and owner was polite.

The best! They knock all other sandwiches out of the competition! Soooo good. Fresh ingredients and fresh bread a hidden gem in Macomb. The owners go the extra mile for you.
